October 29, 2008

On the last day before half term we had a massive cross country race. It was 1 and a half laps of the school grounds. It was extremely tireing but I came 15th out of the whole of year 7-90 children.

My Day- Wednesday 1st October

October 1, 2008

The bus journey was great because I chatted to my new friends on the way.

The first lesson was physics, in that we did an experiment about finding the mass of a marble. We had to measure the weight of the container first then put the marbles in  and weigh them. Last lesson we did an experiment on a pendulum and had to find the time for 20 oscillations and then 1 oscillation.

After physics it was break time, at break you can do lots of things. You can play football, tig and hide and seek and many other things. Most of the big ones play hand and feet tennis.

Our second lesson was Chemistry where we looked at liquids, solids and gases. At the end we watched the teacher use a Bunsen Burner, that was interesting. I can’t wait for the next lesson though because we’re going to use one ourselves.

Our third lesson was maths…..yes maths. In that we learnt various things about quadrilaterals like their properties and how to find the area of different quadrilaterals.

FINALLY LUNCHTIME ARRIVED. Lunchtime is great. At lunch you can do all the things that you do at break time and more. You can read in the library or go on the COMPUTERS in there. Also there are clubs like chess club.

After lunch was music. In music the teacher plays the piano and we sing along. Some weeks we play instruments ourselves and learn different signs.

The last lesson of the day was french. In french we were given sweets in the first few lessons but now you have to work hard or answer a difficult question to get them.Today we learnt numbers up to 100 and other ones like 200,1000, 10000 and 1000000.

Now it is time to get home and do homework.
